Welcome!
After much deliberation, meeting with students, faculty and staff to ask questions and gauge what education would be most supportive on U of A's campus, The LGBTQ+2S Resource Center has re-designed our Safe Zone program to meet the University of Arizona's campus community members' need for institutional support in moving people on campus into action. With an all new curriculum, the Solidarity Coalition trainings address what active solidarity with LGBTQ+2S people and communities looks like in practice. By participating in a training, you and your peers can become part of the coalition to change the material conditions for queer and trans people on campus and Southern Arizona. Please see the details below on how to get signed up for our new training program:
Individual Trainings
These are intended for individuals, rather than large groups. If your department, class, or group is small (ex: less than 8 people), please consider having the group sign up for an Individual Training together.
Our trainings are 3 hours and in-person. They are typically held in The LGBTQ+2S Resource Center on the 4th floor of the Student Union. These are not for whole departments, classes, or cohorts however, you are welcome to sign up with your colleagues!
- October 16th, 2-5pm
- November 12th, 10am-1pm
- December 5th, 10am-1pm

We are now taking department training requests for the Spring '25 semester! If you are interested in signing up your department, class, student club, or other UArizona group, please fill out our interest form here and we will get back to you as soon as possible!
