Welcome to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Questioning Affairs

The Office of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Questioning (LGBTQ) Affairs works to build, sustain, and strengthen a safe, inclusive, and open environment for students, faculty, staff, appointed professionals, alumni, parents, and guests of all gender and sexual identities. The LGBTQ+2S RC focuses on building an anti-colonial, anti-racist space and shaping programs that center the most oppressed, working to meet their physical, educational and emotional needs. This is done through programs, trainings, events, and the LGBTQ+ Resource Center in the Student Union.

We moved!

The LGBTQ+2S RC has moved! We are now located in room 404, down the hall from our old location. You can still find staff members and a drop-in space to study. Come see our new space!  If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please contact us at ualgbtq@gmail.com.

Call for Queer Artists!

The GSC (@ua_guerrero) and LGBTQRC (@ua_lgbtq) will be paying 10 artists $100 each to create art pieces for the centers! This unique event is based in community building, the intersectionality of Queer, Black, and Latine people, and the solidarity between these three communities.

No professional artistic experience is required, and no previous commissions or collaborations are necessary. All artist experience levels are welcome to apply! Appplications are due April 2nd.
