Safe Zone Training Request

Thank you for your interest in scheduling a training- we are currently accepting requests for fall semester, however, it is unclear what our capacity will be to offer trainings next academic year. You are welcome to submit a form and we will do our best to fulfill as many requests as we can, once we know our budget and staff capacity. Please note, many staff will be taking furlough in July, so you may not hear from our team until August. We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding. Responsibilities of LGBTQ Affairs include:

  1. Contacting you within a week of receiving this request to confirm we received your request, or that we will be unable to fulfill your request at this time.
  2. If necessary, work with you to tailor the training to the needs of your department, organization, or class.
  3. Confirm the details of the training with you once we have secured facilitators.

Responsibilities of the contact person include:

  1. Ensure there are a minimum of 20 confirmed participants and advertise it to your intended audience.
  2. Secure a venue and any agreed upon A/V equipment.
  3. Print any necessary materials for all participants (if we agree on supplemental materials)
  4. Provide snacks and beverages if desired.
