Rachel's key values are critical love, justice, and empathy. Rachel grew up in Dayton, Ohio where they cultivated a passion for social justice. Rachel attended Loyola University Chicago where they received a Bachelor’s degree in Advocacy and Social Change. Rachel’s passion for resistance in higher education led them to the University of Vermont, where they obtained a Master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs. Through the years, Rachel has had many opportunities to facilitate, lead, and organize spaces for QTPOC students, student leaders in residential life, and multicultural centers. Rachel is passionate about liberation and organizing spaces of community and healing for queer and trans people. Over the years, Rachel has found healing and refuge through cultivating a queer chosen family. Rachel's free time is filled with a love of writing, nurturing their plants, traveling, and being in community with those they love.
