Cole Eskridge is the Ally Development Graduate Assistant for LGBTQ Affairs and is mainly charged with the administration of the Safe Zone program. They came to Tucson in June 2012, after graduating from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA with a B.S. in Biological Sciences, to begin their PhD through the GIDP in Entomology and Insect Science. Additionally, they are also a performing member of Reveille Man's Chorus and the founder/president of UA's chapter of Out in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (oSTEM), a student organization that aims to increase the visibility and leadership of LGBTQA+ students in STEM science fields. They are broadly interested in creating equity in STEM for all underrepresented communities into future and co-coordinates UA's "JustSTEM" group (a social justice in STEM discussion group).
